It is with excitement, commitment, and resolve that I offer my skills and experience in leadership and seek your vote and support as your Monroe County Legislator representing District 22 in the inner City of Rochester.

Mother, daughter, granddaughter, advocate, professional, community leader - these are the qualities that proudly make me the woman that I am. Proud Democrat, endorsed by the Working Families Party, I am proud to be your representative in County Government.

As a native Rochesterian, the product of the public-school systems and a local business owner with an international presence, my insight and culture afford me a perspective most effective in fulfilling and enhancing the job requirements. At a time when our city faces many crisis in poverty, violence, economic hardships, and infrastructure failures, combined with a global pandemic and incredible racial and social division, the need for leadership could never be greater.

Growing up in an impoverished neighborhood, in a single parent household, my mother, a

community and civil rights activist instilled the values of volunteerism, higher education, hard work and dedication in my heart and soul. I offer a variety of skills encompassing approximately forty years of community service and advocacy, thirty years of middle and upper management in the private sector and ten years as a local business owner with an international presence.

As an ambassador for Rochester, I have represented Rochester and its residents in many goodwill missions in the Islands of Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, and the Bahamas. Also, as one of many projects, I presented the first International Boxing event to the Island of Vieques to promote cultural and humanitarian awareness to reignite and assist in the recovery of the Vieques economy after the devastation of hurricane Maria.

I will always consider it an honor and a privilege to put my skills, my experience, energy, and commitment to work for real results for the residents of District 22 and look forward to working with my fellow Democratic legislators and County Executive Adam Bello to bring great success and strength for all of our futures. Together this is a fight we can win.
